Who I Work With
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or the pressure to keep everything together. I offer empathetic, strengths-based counseling to help you better understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck—such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, codependency, self-criticism, or difficulty setting boundaries.
Our work together will focus on healing emotional wounds, reconnecting with your authentic self, and building self-trust, self-compassion, and more fulfilling relationships. I support individuals through life transitions such as parenting, divorce, caregiving, menopause, grief, and changes in career, identity, or health. My goal is to help you gain clarity around your values, strengths, needs, and next steps so you can create a life that feels more grounded, empowered, and true to you.

Treatment Approaches
My counseling approach is client-centered, collaborative, relational, and feminist. I support clients in understanding protective patterns, processing trauma, building emotional regulation, and developing greater self-trust and self-compassion. Therapy is supportive and nonjudgmental, offering a space to slow down, explore your inner world, and move toward deeper healing.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS, or “parts work,” to help you better understand and relate to the different parts of yourself. Some parts may protect you through patterns like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or caretaking, while others may carry pain, fear, or unmet needs. In therapy, we respectfully get to know these parts, rather than trying to push them away or “fix” them. Together, we explore what each part is trying to do for you, how it learned its role, and what it may need in order to soften, heal, or trust you more. Together, we gently explore these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of inner conflict, self-criticism, trauma responses, and long-standing patterns. Over time, this work can support greater self-trust, emotional balance, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that can help the mind and body process painful or overwhelming experiences. Using eye movements, tapping, or sounds while briefly focusing on a memory or feeling, EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process. Over time, distressing memories may feel less intense and easier to relate to with calm and clarity. I also integrate IFS with EMDR to help identify and support protective parts before approaching difficult memories. This can help reduce overwhelm and create a safer, more grounded healing process.
Mindful Self-Compassion
Mindful Self-Compassion offers a gentle way to build emotional resilience by bringing together the practices of mindfulness and self-kindness. At its heart, it focuses on three core elements: mindfulness, common humanity, and self-kindness. Mindfulness helps you become aware of difficult thoughts and feelings with openness and care, rather than pushing them away or becoming overwhelmed by them. Common humanity reminds you that struggle, imperfection, and moments of pain are a natural part of being human, which can help ease feelings of isolation. Self-kindness invites you to meet yourself with warmth, patience, and understanding, especially during difficult times, instead of responding with harsh self-criticism.
