I’m a licensed professional counselor in Southeast Portland specializing in helping clients process and heal from trauma, addiction, and relationship issues.

I’m an Oregonian, born and raised in the Portland area. In my youth I traveled the world, from Japan to Australia, Brazil to South Africa. I attended college and lived for a few years in the Bay Area, but I could never stay away from Oregon for too long. I always come back home to the green and grey and rain. I thrive when I'm outside: hiking in Forest Park, playing with my energetic young daughter, or running with my sweet dog.

Personal Philosophy

I provide counseling that is strengths-based and respectful. I am kind and compassionate, and also direct and authentic. I will warmly meet you wherever you’re at in your journey while also inviting you to grow and change. Together we will explore and process difficult memories, feelings, behavior patterns and troubling thoughts. I will walk beside and support you on your personal journey of healing.

My pronouns are she/her. I approach my work with a social justice lens, believing everyone should have access to quality counseling services. I value each person as the unique being they are. I am supportive of folks who have experienced discrimination on the personal and systemic level. As I work with clients, I’m aware of, and acknowledge, my own privilege – I keep it in the forefront of my mind and heart. Come as you are; I welcome and accept you.

Education, Training & Experience

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Santa Clara University.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (#C6246) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.

I am a lifelong learner and seeker of new knowledge, insight and perspectives. I’ve completed EMDR Therapy Level I training. I am particularly interested in “parts work” (Internal Family Systems) and psychedelic-assisted therapy, and I’m actively seeking training and experience in both modalities.

I have eight years of experience as a mental health and addictions counselor in agency, non-profit, and hospital settings at outpatient and inpatient levels of care in Oregon.
